Welcome to the Winter edition of Health & Beauty Newsletter.
During the winter the quantity of daylight diminishes and as the days become shorter some of us will notice difficulty getting out of bed, weight gain, tiredness, tight and painful muscles and seasonal depression. The cold weather affects us all in different ways, depending on our constitution and health condition. In this issue I will share some timely tips that are particularly relevant to the cold, windy season.

Escape the winter chills.
With each seasonal change our bodies are subjected to different responses. If you dislike the hot summer and prefer the cooler winter days you are probably a Hot Type that lacks the cooling and calming energy called Yin energy. You may easily develop a weakness in the liver and kidney meridians and you should keep your feet warm as well as the lower back to avoid getting sick.

Tip # 1: Keep warm

This means the cold chills can easily enter the body while we sleep. Breathing through the nose warms and cleans the air before it reaches our lungs.
Tip # 2: Have warm food and drink
That means no more ice creams and cold drinks straight from the fridge. Cold can cause stress on the stomach and spleen, resulting in weakening of the digestive process causing bloating and loose stools.
